Saskatchewan awards the first of the Jubilee medals to 32 citizens for their achievements that have brought great credit to our province and to our country. The Jubilee medals were presented by His Honour the Honourable Dr. Gordon L. Barnhart, S.O.M., Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan. The Government of Saskatchewan awards more of these medals to outstanding citizens and across Canada, more than 60,000 Jubilee medals are to be presented in the Jubilee year.
